Where European craft meets Mexican tradition.
Bandera earned an Honorable Mention at the 2025 NC Brewers Cup and one sip tells you why.
This copper bright amber lager traces its roots to 19th century Austrian immigrants who brought their brewing traditions to Mexico, marrying Vienna and Munich malts with flaked maize in a combination that’s been refined ever since. Guidon’s version honors that heritage without apology.
It pours a clear reddish amber with a clean, persistent head. The aroma is warm and approachable toasted grain, soft caramel, and a light breadiness that invites the first sip. On the palate, malt sweetness leads with biscuit and lightly caramelized notes, while flaked maize keeps the body medium and the finish refreshingly dry. Noble hop bitterness sits quietly in the background at 25 IBUs — present enough to balance, restrained enough to let the malt do its job.
Smooth, clean, and dangerously drinkable at 4.7% ABV. Bandera is the kind of lager that works at the bar, at the table, or at the end of anything worth celebrating.
Recognized by judges. Built for the table, the bar, and everything worth raising a glass to.
